We’re excited to share that SecurEyes achieved a Top 30 finish at the Black Hat MEA 2024 Capture the Flag (CTF) Tournament, held from November 26-28 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Black Hat MEA CTF is a Big Deal. 

This event, hosted in partnership with the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming & Drones (SAFCSP), is one of the largest ethical hacking competitions in the world. With over 1,000 participants from 150+ countries competing across 250 teams, the stakes were sky-high, making this a huge achievement for our team.

This isn’t your average cybersecurity competition. The CTF at Black Hat MEA is designed to test participants on real-world cybersecurity challenges like penetration testing, cryptography, reverse engineering, and network security. Teams compete in a jeopardy-style format, solving complex problems under extreme time pressure.

Breaking into the Top 30 isn’t easy when you’re up against the world’s best ethical hackers. It requires a combination of technical expertise, creative problem-solving, and seamless teamwork.

 

 

 

How SecurEyes prepared for the tournament. 

Our team – Saurav Minz, Bader Mehmood, Usama Arshad, Asad Mehmood, and Danish Iqbal (Captain), put in countless hours of preparation. From mastering the latest tools and techniques to practicing under high-pressure scenarios, they left no stone unturned.
